Charles S Marsh - Class Of 1971

Chuck was born in Minneapolis on November 23, 1950 to Ken and Helen Marsh. He was raised in Richfield, MN and graduated from Richfield High School in 1969, where he excelled at baseball and basketball. He continued to play both basketball and baseball at Golden Valley Lutheran College, where he was named the baseball team's most valuable player. Chuck also played baseball at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, where he graduated in 1973 with a degree in corrective therapy. After graduation, Chuck accepted an offer for a therapists position at American Lake Veterans Hospital in Tacoma, Wa. Chuck and his wife Rhonda settled in nearby Puyallup, WA. And raised their adopted son and daughter. Chuck retired from American Lake after 40 years due to his worsening diabetes. He was sharing an apartment with his son Peter during the past two and a half years. Chuck was on kidney dialysis for over two years before he died of complications of diabetes on November 14th, 2016. Chuck is survived by his son, Peter and daughter Kelly, both of Puyallup, brother Jay and sister-in-law Katherine of Bellevue, WA, sister Nancy Albrecht of Minneapolis, nieces Libby and Ana, and nephews Dan and Scott. A private family memorial service will be held.
